The new Geo-Deck was completely re-imagined, full of engaging innovations including an interactive digital display named the “Halo,” high powered zoom telescopes, walls and ceilings highlighted with color-changing lights and a floor designed as a stylized map of the city. Fast forward six years – on Octothe re-engineered Geo-Deck (named for architect Buckminster Fuller’s “geodesic sphere,” the tower’s fabled shape) reopened to the public. The observation deck was closed for repairs and renovations in the fall of 2007, and it underwent some minor renovations in 2008. The result was the Reunion Tower, which included an observation deck with a 360-degree unobstructed view over the area. But that idea did not go over with the developers and it was decided that the revolving restaurant should have its own building. The original plan for the Reunion Project was a hotel with a revolving restaurant on top. I also wanted to check out Wolfgang Puck’s Five Sixty restaurant, where you can enjoy drinks, dinner, and a 360-degree view of the city, without leaving your seat (the restaurant is built on a revolving platform). The Tower had recently undergone some major renovations. To be honest, I wanted an excuse to go there myself. Since Dallas was built in the middle of a prairie (meaning it’s flat as a pancake), I thought the best way for my visitor to get a bird’s eye view of the area was to take him to Reunion Tower. If you’re staying at the Hyatt Regency Reunion hotel, you’ll never be lost! Strategically located on the southwest edge of Dallas, the Tower, with it’s ever-changing light show, marks the entrance into downtown.

I have no doubt that George and Juju will immediately feel right at home. "The energy and talent of those on camera and behind the scenes at this program are second to none. "I am so excited to welcome George and Juju to our family," Robin Roberts said. He will take on the role of chief political correspondent and continue to anchor "This Week" until a replacement is named, Westin said. Stephanopoulos, 48, has been ABC News' chief Washington correspondent since December 2005 and host of ABC's Sunday morning political affairs program, "This Week With George Stephanopoulos," since September 2002. "No one can replace Diane Sawyer, but I'll do everything I can to match her unquenchable curiosity and intense commitment to informing the country every morning. "I can't wait to join 'Good Morning America's' amazing team, and serve its loyal viewers," Stephanopoulos said. George complements Robin's strengths with a deep knowledge of and commitment to news about the nation and the world." ( Click here to read Westin's full e-mail.) Hers is a practical curiosity that brings the viewers' questions to the fore. "As we've seen over time, Robin brings a warmth and intelligence to the morning that no one can match. "Robin and George are the right pair to lead our effort," Westin said. "How can we best serve our audience? How can we bring them what matters most to them - the day's important news, engaging stories, useful information and real expertise to help them improve their lives?" "In putting this new 'GMA' team together, we've pursued one goal," Westin said. Sam Champion will remain the weather anchor on the morning show. Cuomo has also been named ABC News' chief law and justice correspondent, reporting for all broadcasts and platforms across the news division. Juju Chang has been named the news anchor for "Good Morning America" and Chris Cuomo has been promoted to co-anchor of "20/20" alongside Elizabeth Vargas. Stephanopoulos will anchor the broadcast with Robin Roberts and replaces Diane Sawyer, who will become the new anchor of "World News" beginning Dec. 14, our new anchor team at 'Good Morning America' will be in place and on the air," Westin said in an e-mail to the ABC News staff. Fotojet Designer Review: Offline Canva For Mac OS/PC. Hey if that's too long, get a darn horse. In Morrowind you could take 20 minutes real time to walk from town to town. The map on the game is huge, but not as huge as Morrowind. Plus of course the horse can hold inventory. You can even battle while on horseback if you level up correctly. The travel system is great, you can go by foot, by horse (buy or steal one) or by portal. The alchemy system is intuitive and darn near all ingredients can be mixed into a potion. And you can rotate up to 3 weapons with the R key. So yes, you can hack and slash with a wide assortment of weapons via the left mouse button and cast your main spell with the right mouse button or various hotkeys. Casting spells is easily handled with hot keys. Cards offering you various spell casting abilities. I love the magic system based on cards you find all over the world or purchase at select merchants. You do have to work on differing strategies. I love how all the creatures have rather unique attacking methods. A somewhat more complex and interative adventure. It's a different feel from Morrowind and Oblivion. Now after 14 hours of Two Worlds, PC version, I'm having so much fun. Oblivion is like a super polished Morrowind and so after 10 hours of Oblivion I bailed, just can't do a repeat of essentially Morrowind on steroids. First let me say I love Morrowind, and have put over 200 hours into Morrowind. Overall I think that Oblivion is a much better game, but if you are looking for something else to play or a different storyline give Two Worlds a try. The game world is large and allows you to roam where you want, but beware, the encounters do not seem to scale to your level so going off the basic set of quests (and side quests) will quickly lead to your death.Ĭharacter death in the game is trivial as you lose nothing for dieing and are reborn at the nearest shrine (even if it is one you haven't found yet). This coupled with a less than intuitive control interface makes combat difficult, even for easy encounters. I have been playing on medium difficulty and found that the game is fairly unforgiving of poor choices in battle. I bought this game because it seemed to have an interesting concept and I got it for very cheap.Īfter playing for a few hour (there is much more to the game) I have found the story generally interesting and the interface ok. 3)To quote the film, "The hard thing to do and the right thing to do are usually the same thing. What makes the movie so wonderful is that it is based on premises we all know but often forget. It was a real life character study and of course Nicholas Cage and Michael Caine were absolutely superb. The comedy in this movie came just often enough to hold back the tears. The ability to find humor in life's tragedies is an accomplishment that director, writer and cast can all be proud of. In that capacity, he coordinated the RADAR project, a NIH-funded study that. He believes this job will magically restore his failing marriage, his relationship with this kids and garner him the respect from his father (Michael Caine)he so desires. Hunt Executive Director - Pride Action Tank Kim has a 30-year career. As the events of his life get worse he begins to put all his faith in a dream job in New York as a national weatherman. So the story begins.Dave Spritz is a Chicago weatherman. While at the point where you still believe in happy endings and hold on to the possibility that if one good thing happens everything else will fall into place. The realization that life sucks either because you've removed the rose colored glasses or because you've been hit by one of life's ice balls.
Luckily, despite all the soul searching, dead ends, and obvious commercial overtures, the album retains enough of the innate Geils Band charm (and a couple good tracks like "Surrender," "So Good," and the loose blues rocker "I'm Not Rough") to make it work to a certain extent. Add to that the epic-length and overblown "Monkey Island," the smooth ballad "I'm Falling," and the shockingly slick modern R&B confection "So Good," and the album becomes near schizophrenic. Ranging from the wall-shaking funk of "Surrender" to the soft rock sweetness of "You're the Only One" (which comes complete with Magic Dick impersonating Stevie Wonder at his most romantic), the bopping AM-friendly R&B of "I Do" (the album's only cover), and the roaring hard rock of "Somebody," the album covers a lot of territory. In most cases this would make for an artistic disaster, but hearing Geils branch out and lie back makes for one of their more interesting and challenging, if not most coherent, releases. By the time of 1977's Monkey Island the band seemed a little confused by it all and maybe even a bit weary of the effort to make it on their own terms. Even the awe-inspiring live album Blow Your Face Out, the band's near-maniacal dedication to the live stage, and their nonstop presence on the FM dial couldn't get them a hit album. Geils Band's chart profile had been steadily slipping since the Top Ten success of their third record, Bloodshot. Purchase and download this album in a wide variety of formats depending on your needs. |
